RACE SITE

The event will take place at Mont Habitant in Saint-Sauveur.
There will be both individual and team events; teams may consist of 2 or 3 athletes.
The Mont Habitant TRIATHLON was a popular event from 1986 to 1995 drawing over 650 participants annually between in 1988 and 1990. Come and help revive one of the best Triathlons of the 80's.

GETTING THERE

Laurentian autoroute #15, Exit 60, Follow sings for SKI MONT HABITANT.

COURSE

The same course will be used for both events.

TRIATHLON
SWIM 700 m
Will take place in lac Saint-Sauveur adjacent to the ski area.
This being a small lake, water temperature rises quickly early in the season.
Cool but comfortable at that time of year.
There will be several successive wave starts.
BIKE 30 km
Rolling, out and back course crossing several Laurentian Municipalities.
RUN 8 km
Easy, 80% flat, through the streets of Saint-Sauveur returning to Mont Habitant.

DUATHLON
RUN 2 km
Running course around Lac Saint-Sauveur.
BIKE 30 km
Rolling, out and back course crossing several Laurentian Municipalities.
RUN 8 km
Easy, 80% flat, through the streets of Saint-Sauveur returning to Mont Habitant.

SERVICES

Free parking, water stations, toilets, medical care, security services, directions and kilometer markings throughout the course.
A snack after the race will be provided.
Results will be posted during the event.
A SALAD BAR WILL BE SERVED.

RESULTS

Medals will be awarded to the first three finishers in each category.
Medals send by mail, $5 fees.

RULES

  1. Each participant must be autonomous and cannot receive any outside assistance.
  2. Wet suits allowed if the water temperature is below 22°.
  3. Certified (hard) cycling helmet, bathing cap provided by the organisation running shirt and bib number worn in front during the run are mandatory. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
  4. No drafting allowed on bike run.
  5. Transition area: Cyclists must deposit their bikes in their reserved space on the racks.
  6. End of the race: Cyclists must dismount at the line (before entering transition area).
    I.T.U. rules will be follow.

TEAM TRANSITION
Procedure: the swimmer in the triathlon or the runner in the duathlon must touch the cyclist and as well the cyclist must touch the runner in the transition area reserved for team triathlon and duathlon.
IMPORTANT: the timing chip must be passed from swimmer to cyclist to runner for the triathlon and from runner to cyclist to runner in the duathlon.

TIMING
ChampionChip timing by SPORTSTATS.
Split times will be taken at the entrance to the bike transition zone, at the run exit and at the finish line for both individuals and teams.
Results will be posted on our web site by SPORTSTATS right after the event.

PARTICIPANT'S KITS

ALL THOSE REGISTERING AND PAYING BEFORE JUNE 23rd, 2007 WILL RECEIVE A FREE VISER CAP.
A swim cap and racing bib will be given to all participants at registration.
Kits will be available on race day from 7:00 to 8:45 at the site.
