RACE SITE
Headquarters for the event will be at MANOIR SAINT-CASTIN,
at Lac-Beauport.
The event can be done individually or in teams of two (2)
or three
(3).
The site is
outstanding, the lake clean and the cycling and running courses challenging
and fun.

GETTING THERE
Take Boulevard Laurentien (towards Chicoutimi), exit at Lac-Beauport;
you'll be on Boulevard du Lac which eventually becomes Tour du
Lac, to MANOIR SAINT-CASTIN.
COURSE
All events use the same courses but for different distances according
to the event.
TRIATHLON
SWIM 1 km
Consecutive waves by age group, in Lac-Beauport.
BIKE 23 km
Three loops around Lac-Beauport; difficult course.
RUN 7,7 km
Hilly course, one loop around Lac-Beauport.
Sanctioned distance.
DUATHLON
RUN 2 km
Hilly course around Lac-Beauport. Out and back.
BIKE 23 km
Three loops around Lac-Beauport; difficult course.
RUN 7,7 km
Hilly course, one loop around Lac-Beauport.
Sanctioned distance.
SERVICES
Free parking, water stations, toilets, medical care, security, directions
and kilometre markers throughout the course.
A snack will be provided
after the race. Results will be posted during the event.

RESULTS
Medals will be awarded to the first three finishers in each
category.
Medals send by mail, $5 fees.
RULES
- Each participant must be autonomous and cannot receive any outside
assistance.
- Wet suits allowed if the water temperature is below 22°.
- Certified (hard) cycling helmet, bathing cap provided by the organisation
running shirt and bib number worn in front during the run are mandatory. Failure to
comply will result in disqualification.
- No drafting allowed on bike run.
- Transition area: Cyclists must deposit their bikes in their
reserved space on the racks.
- End of the race: Cyclists must dismount at the line
(before entering transition area).
I.T.U. rules will be follow.
TEAM TRANSITION
Procedure: the swimmer in the triathlon or the runner
in the duathlon must touch the cyclist and as well the cyclist must
touch the runner
in the transition area reserved for team triathlon and duathlon.
IMPORTANT: the timing chip must be passed from swimmer to cyclist
to runner for the triathlon and from runner to cyclist to runner in
the duathlon.
TIMING
ChampionChip timing by SPORTSTATS.
Split times will be taken
at the entrance to the bike transition zone, at the run exit and at
the finish
line for both individuals and teams.
Results will be posted on our
web site by SPORTSTATS right after the event.

A T-SHIRT WILL BE OFFERED TO ATHLETES WHO WILL REGISTER AND PAY BEFORE JUNE 16th 2008.
A swim cap and racing bib will
be given at the registration.
The Race kit (bib, swim cap and chip) will be available at the site from 7:00am on race day.
